The Presidential Archives is an institution affiliated with the Ministry of Public Administration and Security.

Establishment and implementation of basic plans for the management of presidential records
Collection, classification, evaluation, description, preservation, and destruction of presidential records, and creation and management of related statistics
Periodic reclassification of classified and closed presidential records
Thorough protection and release of presidential designated records
Reader service, exhibition, education and promotion of presidential records
Support for research activities related to presidential records
Collection and management of personal records during the presidency and before and after the presidency

Records management consulting for presidential records production institutions for comprehensive creation and transfer of presidential records
Continuous collection through management of potential donors such as individuals, organizations, or institutions that possess historical presidential records

Support for efficient and systematic preservation and utilization through the establishment of a unique management and description system for presidential records
Designing a classification system for presidential records and preparing related rules and guidelines

Permanent preservation and management through establishing of preservation infrastructure and restoration system for presidential records
Thorough strengthening security enhancement for protection of presidential records which are national key materials

Public services such as reference, utilization, and exhibition of the archives owned by the Presidential Archives, Establishment of specialized access environment for users such as former presidents, policy makers (record producers), and researchers, and planning and operation of research programs for academics and researchers
